Puff Pastry Pizza Pie
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed and rolled out on a cookie sheet
- 1 handful corn flour
- 4 tbsp EVOO
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flake
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 8 oz tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 20-25 slices pepperoni
- 1 handful fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Before rolling the dough out on a cookie sheet, lay parchment paper on the sheet and loosely sprinkle both sides of the dough with the corn flour. This will keep your pizza from sticking and make it easier to roll the dough out.
In a small dish, mix the olive oil, garlic, red pepper and oregano. Brush the mixture evenly over the pastry and bake it in the oven for 10 minutes.
Remove the pastry and then brush the sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Top with the mozzarella, pepperoni and basil then sprinkle the parmesan lightly over the top. Place the pizza back in the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
Allow it to cool for a few moments and then slice and serve.
