It’s been a while since I made a dessert, and a great sale on fresh berries was all the encouragement I needed.
Berries & Honey Pastry Puffs
- 6 puff pastry shells, prepared to package directions
- 18 strawberries, halved
- 6 oz blackberries
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
While the pastries are baking, slice up the strawberries and make the blackberry sauce.
To make the sauce, simmer the blackberries over low heat with the sugar and cinnamon stick. The blackberries should start to break up on their own the longer that they simmer.
When the pastries are ready, drizzle some honey in the bottom of each shell, stuff them with strawberries, and drizzle the blackberry sauce on top. Serve warm.
